Layer: Elevation of Potentiometric Surface (ft), 2017 (ID: 5)

Name: Elevation of Potentiometric Surface (ft), 2017

Display Field: Contour

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolyline

Description: This map was created by using water-levels obtained from well measurements by OWRB staff in January 2017 as well as historic water-level data in portions of the aquifer with little to no water level data. The potentiometric surface elevations were calculated by subtracting the depth to water from the surface elevation. This data was used to create a shapefile of the wells (PotSurf_Wells_20171019_JS) in ArcMap with water-table elevations. Contours for the potentiometric surface elevation were then drawn by OWRB staff (Pot_Surface_Contours_simplified_20170829_JS). This dataset was created as a product of the Ogallala - Roger Mills hydrologic investigation and is included here for informational purposes only.
