Name: Aquifer Extent, USGS, 2020 (Salt Fork of the Red River)
Display Field: FM
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon
Description: The updated Salt Fork Red River aquifer extent was created for the U.S. Geological Survery's Hydrogeology and Model-Simulated Groundwater Availability in the Salt Fork Red River Aquifer, Southwestern Oklahoma, 1980–2015 Scientific Investigations Report 2021-5003, published in March 2021 in cooperation with the OWRB using geologic maps and well logs from the OWRB database. The boundary is based on the geologic contact between the Salt Fork Red River alluvium and terrace deposits and the underlying bedrock units. This aquifer extent is tentative and pending Board approval for permitting use.
Name: Elevation of Aquifer Base (ft), 2021 (Salt Fork of the Red River)
Display Field: type
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolyline
Description: This dataset represents the base of the Salt Fork Red River aquifer. The interpretation of the base of the aquifer is based on analysis of lithologic data obtained from groundwater well completion reports submitted to the OWRB by licensed well drillers. This dataset was created as a product of the Hydrogeology and Model-Simulated Groundwater Availability in the Salt Fork Red River Aquifer, Southwestern Oklahoma, 1980–2015 Scientific Investigations Report 2021-5003, published by the USGS in cooperation with the OWRB on March 15, 2021.
Name: Elevation of Potentiometric Surface (ft), 2015 (Salt Fork of the Red River)
Display Field: ELEV_FT
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolyline
Description: The potentiometric surface map of the Salt Fork Red River aquifer based on water levels recorded in 2015. This map is based on a potentiometric surface raster created in ArcMap. The original raster was created using kriging interpolation. This dataset was created as a product of the Hydrogeology and Model-Simulated Groundwater Availability in the Salt Fork Red River Aquifer, Southwestern Oklahoma, 1980–2015 Scientific Investigations Report 2021-5003 and is included here for informational purposes only.
Name: Saturated Thickness (ft), 2015 (Salt Fork of the Red River)
Display Field:
Type: Raster Layer
Geometry Type: null
Description: Saturated thickness raster of the Salt Fork Red River aquifer in southwestern Oklahoma. The raster displays the thickness of the water level (potentiometric) surface in the Salt Fork Red River aquifer to the base of the unit. This dataset is from the Hydrogeology and Model-Simulated Groundwater Availability in the Salt Fork Red River Aquifer, Southwestern Oklahoma, 1980–2015 Scientific Investigations Report 2021-5003, Prepared in cooperation with the Oklahoma Water Resources Board and published on March 15, 2021.
Name: Average Annual Recharge (in) 1980-2015 (Salt Fork of the Red River)
Display Field:
Type: Raster Layer
Geometry Type: null
Description: This dataset was created as part of Hydrogeology and Model-Simulated Groundwater Availability in the Salt Fork Red River Aquifer, Southwestern Oklahoma, 1980–2015 Scientific Investigations Report 2021-5003, published in March 2021 in cooperation with the OWRB using climate, soil, and land-use data. The spatially distributed recharge estimates were calculated using the SWB code developed by Westenbroek and others (2010).
