Description: The Enid Isolated Terrace aquifer extent was extracted from the OWRB data layer OWRB Major Aquifers of Oklahoma, which includes the following description: This shapefile is to be used as a general reference as to the extent of the major aquifers in Oklahoma. It was created with multiple sources of information. The scales and accuracy of these sources vary. This map layer shows the general outlines of the principal bedrock and alluvium aquifers in Oklahoma. The three main sources for aquifer boundaries were from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board, the Oklahoma State Department of Health, and the United States Geological Survey. This map layer is intended to be used for display purposes, and should not be used for local data analysis.
Name: Aquifer Study Area, 2014 (Enid Isolated Terrace)
Display Field: Id
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon
Description: This digital dataset shows the alluvium and terrace deposits that comprise the Enid Isolated Terrace study area in western Oklahoma. This dataset represents a clipped geologic area that was originally part of the geologic quadrangles published by the Oklahoma Geological Survey (OGS) and was subjectively altered from the original to show only the study area in question. This dataset is tentative and pending Board approval for permitting use.

Name: Elevation of Aquifer Base (ft), 2014 (Enid Isolated Terrace)
Display Field: Contour
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolyline
Description: A raster was created for the base of the Enid Isolated Terrace aquifer by OWRB staff. The EIT base map was created by subtracting depth to bedrock values USGS Digital Elevation Model (http://viewer.nationalmap.gov/viewer/). Using the Contour tool in ArcMap 10.1 isolines were created based off the raster data. The resulting contours were smoothed and manually adjusted for clarity.

Description: This dataset represents the base of the aquifer. It was originally published in 1982 as part of the Enid Isolated Terrace aquifer study by Kent, et al. It was digitized by OWRB Staff in 2014 as part of their 20-year update of the study. It is provided here for informational purposes only.

Name: Elevation of Potentiometric Surface (ft), 2014 (Enid Isolated Terrace)
Display Field: Id
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolyline
Description: OWRB staff collected water levels across the aquifer in the spring of 2014. Trimble Precision GPS was used to record surface elevations at these sites and used to determine water table surface elevations at the selected wells. Isolines were then manually interpolated based on these data points and locations of major streams. Contours are in 20 foot intervals. This dataset was created as a product of the 2014 EIT study and is included here for informational purposes only.

Oklahoma Water Resources Board - Technical Studies
Description: This map was completed by OWRB staff using ArcMap. This raster was created by subtracting the the potentiometric surface raster (POTSURF_20170215_js5) from the base raster (Base_20170201_JS2) using the 'minus' tool. Negative values along the study area boundary were made to equal zero using the 'reclassify' tool. This dataset was created as a product of the 2014 EIT study and is included here for informational purposes only.

Name: Average Annual Recharge (in) 1998-2013 (Enid Isolated Terrace)
Display Field:
Type: Raster Layer
Geometry Type: null
Description: Created by clipping the results for average annual recharge of the SWB model. The SWB lookup tables used were the default modified Thornthwaite-Mather tables with a few edits to root zone depth values. Root zone depth values for small grains (land-use code 83) were changed to reflect typical root depths of winter wheat in each soil type: MED/CRS (soil A) = 5 feet, loamy till (soil B) = 6.2 feet, clay till (soil C) = 4.1 feet, and fine (soil D) = 4.7 feet. The values for grasslands, pasture, and urban/recreational grasses (land-use codes 71, 81, 85) were increased by 20% to reflect higher root zone values for Bermuda grass and other native grasses. This dataset was created as a product of the 2014 EIT study and is included here for informational purposes only.
